This hurricane season is the busiest I've ever seen for Florida.... I grew up here, and I remember watching the hurricane reports when I was a kid, but the question was always, will it hit here? No, probably not

Ivan has just been declared a tropical depression at 35MPH and is expected to become a tropical storm. He is expected to touch base on the Louisiana (me) and Texas coasts sometime tomorrow and Friday bringing lots of flooding, rain, storms, and breezy wind.

I took a trip this weekend to Universal Studios, and when I got about 20 minutes north of my house I noticed that there were a lot of highway light poles bent in half. Then I remembered I was in the Punta Gorda area. Curious as to how the recovery processes were coming along, I took the next exit and drove through some of the neighborhoods. I
